Fill every space with warmth and timeless beauty.
Chisel & Tea is a wood studio on Orcas Island. We design and make custom furniture and interior woodwork for island homes, by hand and for the long term. Contemporary in style, traditional in technique, thoughtful in every detail.
Living. Dining. Kitchen. Bedroom. Entry. Outdoors.
Custom Work
Furniture, built-ins and interior woodwork of every kind, designed and built for your space, dimensions, daily use, and aesthetic. A dining table, a window seat, a mantel, an entry bench. The one you’ve been imagining?
Curated Collection
A small selection of ready-made pieces, built in small numbers with the same care as custom work. New pieces are added from time to time.
Design & Engineering
Design, space planning and structural engineering analysis: sketches, 3D models and scaled plans, with load and stress checks. Available on their own, or credited toward a custom project.
Tell us about the room, the piece, or only the idea. We can begin there.

We’re right here on Orcas with you.
When you choose a local maker, you gain more than perfectly fitted dimensions.
We can visit your home to understand your specific views, your surroundings, your preferences — with no mainland logistics or ferry schedules to navigate.
From the first conversation to delivery and installation, everything stays on the island.
